Saturday afternoon in Cannes, and myself and a few colleagues from the international film press have been granted the opportunity to spend some time with Thai directer Apichatpong Weerasethakul, the man who just over 24 hours later would be receiving the 2010 Palme d'Or from Charlotte Gainsbourg for his reincarnation fable, Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.

An Indie Movies fave from this year's line-up, Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives won the Palme d'Or for its Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and there were wins too for acting stars Javier Bardem and Juliette Binoche.

Indie Movies are driving the Cannes van down to this year's Cannes Film Festival in order to catch the new Cannes movies and top up that Cannes tan. Yes, Cannes 2010 will be a ti-Cannes-ic event, and for the Cannes-iest perspective on the Cannes Film Festival keep an eye on Indie Movies Online's Cannes-tabulous Cannes Film Festival page.

However making sure Cannes fans find our Cannes 2010 coverage is an ar-Cannes business.
