New still from Mike Leigh's 2010 Cannes entry, Another Year

Hot off the press: a new still from Mike Leigh’s Another Year has been released today. The Cannes festival committee yesterday announced that the film will be premiering in competition this May. It stars Jim Broadbent, Lesley Manville, Ruth Sheen, Peter Wight, Oliver Maltman and David Bradley.

All of us here at the soot-and-grime encrusted enclave of cinephilia that is Indie Movies HQ have been on tenterhooks for weeks now, just dying to find out which movies will be featuring at this year's Cannes Film Festival. Well, the tension has just been released, as we now know which flicks will be sunning themselves in the south of France from the middle of next month.

Cannes poster arrives

Cannes is coming, Cannes is near. And now they've got the poster to prove it. The 63rd edition of the world's most famous film festival have unveiled their one sheet, and it is a blue-tinted photograph of Juliette Binoche waving her paintbrush, taken by Brigitte Lacombe.
