After a raid on a village in northern Iraq by a troop of panicked American soldiers, only Cennet, a young Turkman girl, survives. With no-one else left, she sets off to find her older brother, Azim but her journey takes a disturbing turns when she is approached to become a suicide bomber. 

At the end of World War II, a German soldier is escorting a Russian prisoner into the forest with orders to shoot him. He delays but the pair have little time before they are discovered by one of the two sides. Can they both survive the day?

Ayça and Hama Ali are together in spirit, but divided by geography. With the outbreak of the Iraq War leaving him stranded, she embarks on an odyssey from Turkey to be reunited with him.
