Friday is the best day of the working week and to remind you to have fun today, we have a trailer for Shrek, some Karate Kid stills and a first look at the Pixar short, Day and Night.

Shrek Forever After (previously known as Shrek 4, Shrek 4Ever After, Shrek: The Final Chapter and Shrek Goes Fourth) is the fourth and (supposedly) final film in the Shrek series. The ugly, terrifying ogre introduced in the first Shrek movie is now a domesticated family man, signing for fans the pitchforks that used to be thrust at him. Tired of what he’s become, Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with Rumpelstiltskin believing he will be transformed back into the ogre he once was - for a day. Instead he finds himself in an alternate version of Far Far Away where ogres are hunted, Donkey is an intellectual who’s never met him, Lord Farquaad is still alive, Puss in Boots is fat and lazy and Fiona is a hunting ogre who can’t stand him. It’s down to Shrek to undo Rumpelstiltskin’s spell and restore the world back to its rightful reality.

Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas all return to voice Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and Puss in Boots respectively. Shrek Forever After will be in cinemas May 21 in the US and July 9 in the UK.

Sony’s The Karate Kid remake has eight new stills for your Friday viewing pleasure. When a single mother has to move to China for a job, her young son is forced to embrace kung fu when he is picked on by the locals for not fitting in. Taught by a wise instructor, Dre Parker goes on to be the best.

Test screenings have so far been scooping the film some high praise. The Karate Kid stars Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan and hits US cinemas June 11 and UK cinemas July 16.

ComingSoon.net brings an exclusive first look at the Pixar short, Day & Night, that will play before Toy Story 3 when it hits cinemas June 18 in the US and July 23 in the UK.

Directed by Teddy Newton, Day & Night shows what happens when the sunny Day meets a stranger, the darker, moodier Night. At first the pair are suspicious of one another and quickly get off on the wrong foot but as they discover the unique qualities the other possesses, their friendship helps them to gain a new perspective on things.

And aren’t they just so cute?
