We’ve got a TV spot and trailers for Daybreakers, Nine and Far Cry. Vampire lovers, musical maestros and gamers, get your fix after the jump.
A TV spot for Daybreakers has hit. Are you trembling yet? If not, you obviously haven’t watched it. Set in the future where a plague has transformed almost everyone into vampires, the question the bloodsuckers face is how to survive. The remaining humans are either in hiding or strung up in grisly blood factories.
Update: Empire has this new (and butt-ugly) promotional poster:

Daybreakers is directed and written by Michael and Peter Spierig. It stars William Dafoe, Isabel Lucas, Ethan Hawke, Sam Neill and Claudia Karvan. See it in cinemas from January 2010.
A trailer for Nine has also been released. I use the word trailer loosely; it’s more like a music video. The Rob Marshall directed film is an adaptation of a Broadway musical with the same name that first opened in 1982 and ran for 729 performances. In turn, this musical was based on Fellini’s seminal 1963 film, 81/2.
Marshall’s film of a musical of a film focuses on Daniel Day-Lewis’ character Guido Contini, a director struggling with a midlife crisis. Not only is he finding completing his latest film difficult, he is also trying to balance the influence and effect of all the women in his life: his wife (Marion Cotillard); mistress (Penelope Cruz); muse (Nicole Kidman); confidante and costume designer (Judi Dench); fashion journalist (Kate Hudson); a whore from his youth (Stacy Ferguson); and his mother (Sophia Loren).
Nine is due in cinemas December 18.
Uwe Boll’s video adaptation for game, Far Cry has a trailer. If you can stand to watch the whole movie after seeing the trailer, you’ll be interested to know it’s skipping its cinematic release and going straight to DVD this month. There’s a surprise!
Til Schweiger is Jack Carver, a retired special forces officer tasked with escorting Emmanuelle Vaugier’s journalist Valerie Cardinal to a mysterious island. When the pair reaches the island, they are attacked by mercenaries employed by scientist Dr Krieger (Udo Kier). During their escape attempt they uncover a secret lab hiding a genetically engineered beast. Presumably mayhem and carnage ensue.

Oh come on Uwe, you're not even trying any more. If those were the best bits of script and acting they could find for the trailer I am very worried for the rest of the film.
