More clips for Eclipse

With 19 days until the US release and 28 days for the UK, Summit has released more clips and stills from Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The David Slade-directed film has a junket in Los Angeles this weekend, so the cast and crew will be very busy in the lead up.

The clips featured below show shirtless werewolves teasing Jacob about his obsession with Bella; a confused newborn vampire; tension between Edward and Jacob after Jacob admits smooching Bella (fans will be torn between glee and woe that the duo will at least share one kiss); Bella confronting Rosalie; and the Cullens conversing about a vampire intruder in Bella’s house. You’ll notice at least one new face in one of these clips – the ever jolly Leah Clearwater, the only female werewolf.

IGN interviewed Slade in the editing booth. He said: “Of the three films so far, we were lucky, we got the most action…besides the themes we know from the Twilight series….there’s another theme: vengeance.” The director also says he’s taken a step with Edward that hasn’t been done in the previous two movies: he’s made him scary – bringing out his inner monster.
