Three posters with an identity crisis

The Mad Hatter, Evelyn Salt and Bad Blake feature, respectively, in three posters for Alice in Wonderland, Salt and Crazy Heart. Check them out after the jump.

The third poster for Alice in Wonderland has found its way online via Facebook. Although The Disloyal Subjects of the Mad Hatter didn’t get enough likes (the plan was to get Facebook votes to unlock promotional goodies) the Hatter still delivered the artwork, with a vague indication that we might have missed out on something and a bit of a hint that there might be more to see later. (The tone of the whole thing was a bit off-putting: behind the facade of the Mad Hatter lurked the shadowy form of a marketing gnome whose had failed to reach his targets and was more than a little tetchy.)

A poster for Phillip Noyce’s action thriller Salt has hit the internet, via JoBlo. Angelina Jolie is Evelyn Salt in a film also starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Live Schreiber and Zoe Lister Jones. The film will be released in July 2010. Simple, eh? But the poster is trying to create intrigue, asking: Who is Salt? A Russian sleeper spy or an oath-bound CIA officer? We are not intrigued. Next!

We’ve also got the trailer and poster featuring Jeff Bridges as Bad Blake, the broken down, hard living country singer in writer director Scott Cooper’s first feature film, Crazy Heart. Will this be another notch on his Oscar nominations post or will he actually make it to the Promised Land?

Maggie Gyllenhaal is Jean, a journalist who helps Bad Blake on the road to redemption after a hard life on the road, drinking and many failed marriages. Also starring Colin Farrell, Robery Duvall, Beth Grant and Sarah Jane Morris, Crazy Heart is based a novel by the same name by Thomas Cobb and will have a limited US release in December 2009.
