What do we have for you on this fine, wet Monday before Christmas? A featurette for The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, (yet another) clip from Daybreakers, a clip from Toy Story 3 and a creepy animated short you do not want to miss, Alma.
Terry Gilliam talks Dr Parnassus: how it came to be, showing off his own drawings and revealing some of the plot. If you haven’t seen the movie it yet - or even if you have - this is an early Christmas treat you will not want to miss.
We met the Daybreakers’ human sympathiser last week, now we get to see him in action. Ethan Hawke’s Edward crashes into a car full of humans then hides them from the rather speedy police. Maybe it’s in the name - vegetarian vampires seem to be the way forward.
An extended clip for Toy Story 3 is online. If you didn’t get enough from the trailer not so long ago and wondered how Andy could be so cold-hearted and send his old toys to Sunnyside, this clip reveals all. Like Toy Story 2 Andy’s mum makes the mistake that dooms the toys. Andy wanted to take Woody with him to college, leaving the rest in the attic, but alas, is anything that simple?
Just missing the top spot in the 2009 Fantastic Fest and instead getting a “special mention” for the Best Animated Short film was Rodrigo Blaas’ Alma. You can check out the creepy short right here thanks to Slashfilm.
