Featuring the incredible breakthrough performance that transformed Eric Bana from Australian TV comedian to major Hollywood player, Chopper is the critically acclaimed true-life tale of brutal, larger-than-life convict Mark Brandon Read.
brilliant!!!I watched this movie when it was first released. forgot just how brilliant, funny and entertaning it is. I recommened this won't dissapoint,as long as your none too squeemish. *****
Wow, what a performance, Bana is fabulous and all the glory after premiere well deserved.
A.Dominik shot 'Chopper' in 2000, his next movie was 'The Assassination of Jesse James' in 2007 and that's just another WOW for me.. It's really cool to get to know his artistic roots and what came before 'much bigger' Jesse James and M.Monroe portraits.
Really liked this black comedy. There are some great moments and you just can't help but like Chopper. Pleased to have come across this one and will recommend to all my friends
Balances sharp black comedy, beautiful cinematography, calculated violence and skilled character study to make a brilliant film. Above all else, it is Eric Bana's portrayal of the chopper that really propels the film forward.
I liked the use of a wide veriety of weapons, it showed real profesionalism as not to link all his crimes with a zip code, so to speak. An insparation to the up and coming youngsters who fancy a bit of porridge.
