The Killers

When hapless, easygoing Mike is hired as a hit man, he asks his old friend, ex-soldier Sean, to assist him. But as the two men monitor their target and move towards a bloody, funny (and bloody funny) climax, it becomes apparent that Sean may be more of a liability than an asset.

This movie is absolutely brilliant! The script is reminiscent of a Harold Pinter play. It just goes to prove that you don't need a huge cast and loads of cash to make a great film. Where has this gem been hiding? How it hasn't won awards is beyond me.

Loved it. Great tension between the main characters. Matthew Jure is unintentionally hilarious as the hapless hitman, a likeable and believable loser - loved his psycho partner and bitchy girlfriend, too. You kind of felt for him as it unfolded.
