Californian teen Gina sets to work on a scientific solution to save Earth from a mysterious impending cataclysm. Also stars Zombieland's Jesse Eisenberg.
Here is proof that a weak 10 min short should not be made into an 86 min film. Here too is proof that packaging is important: the poster here makes the film look far more interesting than this film is. Some really awful lines, decent music and decent background footage but sadly the whole is less than the sum of its parts. Nicolas Roeg's 1971 film Walkabout came to mind - but this suburban Buffy the vampire slayer piece doesn't come close.
I enjoyed watching this film. To me it was more about asking questions than giving answers, while also wrestling with ways of being in the world: rational or unconscious and experiencing. It has a relaxed pace that I liked.

I usually really like independent films. This one however has very few redeeming qualities, if any. The entire dialog of this movie is like like the exercise in acting class where you just say whatever pops into your head without editing yourself, or being concerned if it relates to what anyone else is saying. Very boring from start to the finish. Spoiler alert: there is not enough of a plot to ruin by telling you that absolutely nothing happens at the end. There are many fine movies on here, don't waste 86 minutes of your life on this one.
